New build contemporary 5-bedroom family house with a heated outdoor swimming pool in Surrey. Heating and hot water is provided from a gas boiler, unfortunately a GSHP was rejected on cost grounds. In the main rooms perimeter heating is installed to offset draughts from glassy facades. Photovoltaic panels have been installed as a renewable energy element. The generally heavyweight construction is used to smooth temperature swings.
