New pathology lab containing class II labs with containment cabinets and fume cupboards. All labs were mechanically ventilated to provide the required controlled environment. Specialist laboratory servicing includes de-ionised water, gas, CO2 and liquid nitrogen. Library, bistro and common areas were naturally ventilated. Maximum use of daylight throughout the building with external shading restricting solar radiation.
